M atereza designer Tereza Mahmuti Mujota combined her passions with her collec- tion’s sharpness and finesse based on ‘Dame de Shanghai’ ( The Lady from Shanghai ), a 1947 American film noir directed by and starring Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth. The designer chose textiles exclusively from France and Italy of tulle, velvet and the finest cotton. Each dress is hand-sewn in Europe by an experienced dressmaker, with dedication and attention to detail, making these dresses special and unique. The designer took us into a black and white uni- verse in French silk with ruffles, handmade flowers and ultra-fitted cape dresses with an emphasis on the comfort and quality of the silk, which is wrinkle-free. Because the Matereza woman is an adventurer who travels the planet, the collection is resolutely cocktail and evening wear, a bias assumed by the designer.
