His work is included in the permanent collections of Cornell Museum at Rollins University in Winter Park, Florida, Fidel- ity Investments and Maramotti Collection in Reggio Emilia, Italy. At the exhibition, we witnessed his geometric buildings paint- ings representing a turning point in time painted from unu- sual perspectives, with the absence of people. Although the construction seems abandoned, they look timeless. Rich uses political power structures to highlight how the buildings con- nect and how they play a pivotal role in history. He portrays cities as living, breathing entities, creating awareness of this fragment of human life, and turning the concrete grey into reverberant, vibrant shades to give the scene a new look. New York-based Chinese visual artist Jingyi Wang specialis- es in oil paintings. She received a BFA degree in oil painting from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2013 and then an MFA from the New York Academy of Art in 2016. An ob- servant and perceptive creative, Wang combines her excel- lent sketching ability and imagination to form a new style of conceptual painting. Her artworks focus on the relationship between nature and culture. It associates the fragile with the acute, the serious with the humorous tones, and the poignant with the longing. She was offered an artist residency at the Terra Foundation of American Art in Giverny, France. Her work has been wide- ly exhibited at Art New York 2017, Sotheby’s New York, the Metropolitan Pavilion, Portraits Inc., Jacob K. Javits Centre, Amerasia Bank Gallery, Panepinto Galleries and X gallery. Her artworks are widely published in art magazines such as Creative Paper, Art-Maze Mag and Studio Visit . Wang’s focal point in this exhibition is the strong and inde- pendent character of the cactus, in which she intends to ex- press the impact that human activities have on nature. She is an artist that merges human beings with their surroundings, creating natural entities with anthropomorphic forms and portraying a desired harmonised and symbiotic connection between the two worlds. Her work empathises feelings of loneliness, and struggle, blended with resilience and hope and adds the depiction of familiar forms to a relaxing background.
