As a non-combustion model, the black faux grille with the Mustang logo is filled in for aerodynamics and the vents placed at the bottom on either side produce air curtains to offset the extra drag caused by the 20-inch wheels and tyres. Available in Cyber Orange or Grabber Blue, these exclusive exterior colours make the Mach-E GT stand proud and ready to take the road. Thankfully, it carries the slated brake lights that remind people that it is a Mustang although they may not necessarily identify it as one. Ford has gone another step further to introduce the even more powerful GT Performance with upgraded power, brakes and suspension and sportier styling. Whilst the GT produces 480 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque, the Performance model generates 634 lb-ft and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds, similar to the prototype Mach-E 1400 in speed. What makes the GT Performance a winner are the MagneRide dampers that car experts felt were not as effective in the Mach-E GT. The price is steep at around £65,050, with the GT Perfor- mance even more, but there are benefits to be had such as the ability to recharge up to 150 kW when you need to stop.
