A collaboration of two capital cities, Paris and Stockholm, brought Frenchman Jerome Touron and Swede Claus Lin- dorff together to form Ron Dorff in 2010, an elision of their surnames.The urban chic menswear brand that combines mascu- linity with sizzling sexiness would knock the socks off similarly placed labels.Through its alignment of Swedish functionality with French style, Ron Dorff offers intelligent, sharp and timeless sportswear, swimwear and underwear. Their motto ‘DISCIPLINE IS NOT A DIRTY WORD’ is carried from design to manufacture in each piece.“This philosophy also prevails among our partners when it comes to pro- duction, which 90% is made in Sweden, France and Portugal.” The sporty aesthetic concept came into play when Claus Lindorff, who had previously marketed cam- paigns for Saint Laurent and LouisVuitton and played many sports, found it hard to find the ‘right outfit’. “Everything was too big, had too many logos, [or] too many colours,” he told online website Crash . “So I started thinking about creating a sportswear brand for men between 25 and 35, not yet million- aires but already sensitive to cuts, materials and quality.” Ron Dorff wanted to provide a fresh take on the great classics of sportswear with simple, functional items and impeccable cuts in sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts, tank tops, running pants and exercise shorts. They operate five-own brand stores and a network of more than 70 selected high-end wholesale part- ners globally. While casual and sportswear are the brand’s main- stay, underwear and swimwear raise women’s temperatures mainly when sported by sexy hot bodies. The classic no-frills, no logo underwear is inspired by those developed for the Swedish Army in the ‘70s. It features the iconic double black-lacquered RD sig- nature eyelets that distinguish it from other branded underwear designs.TheY-Front Briefs Mesh comes in a vintage cotton mesh, a dual front in fine Jersey cotton, and the usual elastic waistband is covered by fabric with reinforced stitching. Organic Cotton Boxer Briefs in Stormy Sea, Light Turquoise or Night Blue, Boxer Briefs in extensive hues including Klein Blue, Arctic Blue, Black, Grey Melange and Pink, and Striped Boxer Briefs in Navy/ White have the exact design details as the Y-Front Briefs.The same goes for the Boxer Shorts in Dusty Blue/White, Pink, Khaki,White or Arctic Blue, but they have a slightly tapered fit, a front opening with a button, and a comfortable elastic waistband. Ron Dorff swim briefs inspired by the cult Brazil- ian water polo briefs of the early ‘80s would make any man look deliciously hot on the beach.
