The Bite Magazine - Autumn/Winter 2021 - Issue 30

ith another covid dominant year coming to a close and the numerous variants consistently spreading and mutating, we can’t help but wonder whether the world will ever get rid of this pandemic any time soon. The Spanish Flu in 1918 took two years to eradicate but with an ever-changing world in the 21st century with revolutionary systematic technology and flight travel, will it take the same course or will these sophisticated signs of the times make it harder to defeat this complacency enemy? Whilst we all try to live as ‘normal’ a life as possible, protecting ourselves and others in the best possible way, we thank the heavens that we could bring you our usual lovingly curated publication for Autumn-Winter 2021. In this issue, we dined at the newly opened Ganymede in Belgravia; Whitbread’s modern steakhouse Bar + Block in London’s King’s Cross; the sophisticated Kahani in Sloane Square which has a wonderful story to tell and experienced the enriched flavours that Parmigiano Reggiano can bring to varied dishes. During our window of freedom, we welcomed back the creative arts including the awe-inspiring Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience exhibition that takes you on a mesmerising journey through the famed artist’s eyes. StART Art Fair 2021 showcased over 70 emerging and established global artists and galleries from more than 25 countries at the Saatchi Gallery in Sloane Square, London where a wealth of creativity captured a lot of attention from visitors. The smooth and slick rapper Snoop Dogg grace our pages as one of our music celebrities. We go way back to how it started, from Dr Dre discovering the artist in the early ‘90s, his appearances in an array of film and animations, to ruling his hip hop domain. Female rapper and singer Doja Cat entertains us with her list of controversies that has had the artist defending herself profusely. Although drama seems to follow her everywhere she goes, she has a way of setting the record straight.
