biteglasses I t seems that oversized sunglasses are here to stay, such as those designed by Barcelona-based eyewear brand Kale- os. The reinvention of contemporary glasses, combining design, fashion and luxury, has seen the brand create in- novative styles that are inventive, inspirational and design-led. Thanks to her experience in fashion, creative director Claudia Brotons brings her knowledge, intuition and savoir-faire to the luxury brand that includes unique acetates and exclusive lens colours. Every six months, Claudia is said to perform a creative and logistical miracle by bringing a new collection of surprising, eclectic designs to the market, setting trends and transcending preconceived notions of style. While studying for a Bachelor in Business Administration, she met co-founder Joan Gassó. Her fashion experience was shaped by working for high street fashion Zara at the Inditex Headquarters in Spain and achiev- ing a Master’s Degree in Fashion from the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy. From larger to more petite frames, there are plenty of Kale- os styles to choose from. All of their sunglasses have acetate or titanium arms, 100% UV protection and built-in acetate or PVC adjustable nose pads. For women loving the oversized look, Creasey sunglasses present a choice of opaque black ac- etate with black gradient tint or black acetate with light brown tortoiseshell laminate and dark amber tint 4-base lenses. Men get a look in with a selection of Button-Down Collar Shirt in White and Blue, a regular-fit cotton shirt with lapel collar, front fastening with mother-of-pearl buttons and long sleeves ending in an adjustable cuff with a mother-of-pearl button. Striped Cotton-Poplin Shirt in Green and Blue gives a more tailored look and has the same features as the Button-Down Collar Shirt.
