Stir in the vanilla extract and add the egg and mix until it is combined. Stir in the flour, ground almonds, and white chocolate chunks until they are evenly distributed throughout the mix. Add a splash of milk if necessary, and fold in the fro- zen cherries. Then pour the batter over the double choc- olate cookie dough-lined tin and smooth over the top. Bake the mixture for around 30-40 minutes until golden or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean. Leave in the tin to cool completely before cutting the piec- es into squares. The final recipe idea is Zesty Chocolate and Orange Loaf Cake with 175 g softened butter and caster sugar, three large eggs, grated zest of one orange and a tablespoon of orange juice, 200 g of self-raising flour, 50 g of ground al- monds, a splash of milk, and 3-4 Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough balls - crumbled. Bake for around 55 minutes to 1 hour or until a skewer inserted into the loaf centre comes out clean. Leave to cool in the tin for 20 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to finish cooling completely. Drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle with your cho- sen decorations.
