The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2021 - Issue 29
this gorgeous looking dish was tasty and thoroughly enjoyable. For our main meal, we had Corn-Fed Bergamot Lemon Chicken with a makhani sauce that was creamy and fla- voursome, and the tenderly cooked Slow Braised Suffolk Lamb Shoulder Rogan Josh melted in our mouth. These dishes were complemented with sides of Kaffir Lime Leaf Flavoured First Grace Basmati Rice & Pistachio, Spiced Creamed Spinach cooked with Dill & Cherry Tomato, and Poppy Seed & Red Leicester Cheese Naan. The naan bread had an extraordinary blend of unique flavours. With just enough room left for desserts, we had Shahi Brioche Tukda with tandoor pineapple, pistachio crumb and saffron cream and Warm Candy Beetroot Halwa with amarkhand and seasonal berries. The first was my favourite out of the two desserts, which I found indul- gently tasty and pleasant with the delicious creamy saffron milk sauce and the right amount of sweetness. The second was like a steam pudding, albeit with the noticeable taste of beetroot that I wasn’t too fond of.
