bitebeauty I am always looking to discover brands that embrace the love for natural ingredients while supporting the environment and respecting our beloved animal friends. For me, natural in- gredients are a must in any beauty regime, and while it is essential to keep the balance and wellbeing of our planet, I am also looking for good results. I am very grateful to the two brands, By Frankie and La Maxime. They allowed me to understand their philosophy while discovering their beautiful products and experiencing the beauty of plants and flowers. LEMON HAND & BODY CREAM BY FRANKIE Based in Oxfordshire, By Frankie’s purpose is to cre- ate luxurious treats with natural and botanical ingredi- ents and bring self-loving care to our busy every day and overly stressed lives. They produce handmade soaps, body creams and creams for the hands and feet. The use of essential oils, oats, natural plants, and flower extracts make them 90% organic, chemi- cals and additives-free. Environmentally aware, their packaging is home com- postable; even their amber jars are more sustainable than any plastic alternative. The botanical ingredients offer a vegan range, with the exclusion of the Goat Milk and Honey Soap. Among their beautiful collec- tion, my favourite is the Lemon Hand and Body Cream that eliminates dryness caused by the chemicals used in hand sanitisers and sanitising cleaning products. As our hands and nails sometimes need a break, the hand and body cream is the natural and ideal answer. The rich texture acts as a balm. It is soft, smooth, like soufflé, where the skin absorbs it within seconds. It is perfect for using on dry hands or dry skin patches on the body. The skin feels beautiful, soft and nourished, with healthy and stronger nails. The blending botanical ingredients of Shea Butter, Sunflower Oil, and Ylang Ylang Flower Oil, marry per- fectly with the essence of Lemon Oil. The first time I opened the beautiful brown glass pot, which comes with a lovely wooden spatula to collect your cream with, I was embraced by the intensity of the lemon zest. The scent took me back to Italy, down the street of Sorrento, where the lemon tree aroma is every- where and so uplifting. Every time I use this cream, it brings me joy and makes it my perfect moment of luxurious escape. www.byfrankie.co.uk LA MAXIME COLLECTION This skincare range is well renowned for its natural and organic products. Free from chemicals and additives, La Maxime has been accredited as Australian-made, vegan-certified and cruelty-free. The principle behind all of their range is to implement native Australian plants, used for thousands of years, for medicines and healing purposes. Thus, they offer the best way to regenerate and purify the skin with natural ingredients rich in antioxidants and anti-ageing properties. ORGANIC MAKEUP REMOVING OIL Organic Makeup Removing Oil is the ide- al cleanser for anyone wishing to remove both make-up and free radicals present in our modern lives. Cleansing is a crucial and first step to clean and nourish skin, and this oil provides this totally with more benefits. The oil removes make-up without rubbing the skin and deep cleanses the dirt, pollution, dust or residues while nour- ishing and refreshing the skin at the same time. Trying La Maxime Makeup Re- moving Oil was truly a pleasure, and I enjoyed using the glass dropper to pour the oil; it adds a sense of botanical and healing feel to the experience. For best results, use the oil morning and evening. Soak the make-up pad with water and gently squeeze out the excess water. Apply a few drops of the Organic Make- up Removing Oil onto the dampened pad. Gently wipe away the make-up, including waterproof mascara, dirt and grime and repeat as needed.
