It started with his grand- father, Bernard Ostwald, who processed leather into high-quality shoes and accessories at a shoe factory in Upper Franconia, in Bavaria, southern Germany. As the third generation of his family to work with leather, Bernd’s expertise in craftsmanship and in- tuitive understanding of design and luxury are re- flected in his distinctive and subtle creations. Ostwald bags are a tribute to the self-confident, so- phisticated woman with personality and independ- ent style. “Our creations represent the artistry of combining subtle luxury and traditional craftsman- ship.
