Denim garments are among the most destructive items to produce yet are used across the world by almost everyone. The dying of the cloth uses chemicals that are toxic and that are harmful to the environment. Polluting the water table and affecting local populations where it is made. A lot of water is used to produce the cloth. So extending the use of an already used pair of denim jeans by upcycling is important for a sustainable future.
