bitetravel N ext year, in 2021, the legendary Torlonia Collection, considered by many as the world’s most important private collection of ancient marble sculptures, will finally go on public display. Delayed due to closures in 2020, the Palazzo Caffarelli at the Italian capital city’s Cap- itoline Museums will display 96 pieces from the priceless collection of 620 ancient sculptures in The Torlonia Marbles: Collection Masterpieces exhibition. It will be something to look forward to for many people. In the meantime, InterContinental Hotel Group is bringing its luxury namesake hotel brand back to Rome, four years after closing the doors to the InterContinental De La Ville Rome. The hotel group will be taking over the existing Rome Ambasciatori Palace hotel located on the iconic Via Veneto, in the Ludovisi area of the city, close to the Villa Borghese.This Neo-Renaissance-style property was once home to ambassadors staying in Rome before becoming a hotel in 1993. Located in a prime position less than a kilometre walk from the Galleria Borghese, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain, InterContinental Rome will feature 160 rooms and suites, panoramic rooftop, a restaurant, bar, and a spa. It will be restored to create a sense of discreet, modern luxury for visitors and locals alike.
