bitecars What Drives This Power Model? A force to be reckoned with, the comfortable, bespoke Rimac C_Two GT accelerates from 0-60 mph in an exhilarating 1.85 seconds with a top speed of 258 mph. It harnesses 1,914 hp of power and 2,300 Nm of torque - two and a half times the torque output of a contemporary hypercar. Equipped with an innovative battery pack, it delivers 120 kWh of energy and 1.4 MW of power with exceptional thermal management allowing it to perform two full laps of the infamous Nürburgring track at maximum capacity. The 120 KWh battery also enables 550 km of range in WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Proce- dure) cycle and can be charged to an 80% capacity in less than 30 minutes. The next-generation R-AWTV (Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vec- toring) controls the four electric motors in the model, one per wheel, and enables safety features such as advanced ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) and ESP (Electric Stability Pro- gramme) to function as well as provide a uniquely adaptable all- wheel drive. Thanks to its recognisable Rimac design DNA, the C_Two also integrates a variety of aerodynamic features. Inside The Cabin You will be safe in the knowledge that Rimac has ensured the participants’ safety and driving experience are of the utmost im- portance with AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology. These in- clude eight onboard cameras, a lidar (light detection and rang- ing) sensor, six radar emitters, and twelve ultrasonic sensors. The C_Two also has a spacious cockpit with the highest quality materials as well as a configurable and genuinely practical trunk - enough to make long-distance electric-touring comfortable. Instead of a traditional key, the onboard systems use facial rec- ognition cameras to unlock the car and start the engine. The ‘Driving Coach’ option overlays selected racetracks to provide real-time information on racing lines and braking points while Performance ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and response-monitoring software change the car’s character de- pending on the driver’s mood or the prevailing weather con- ditions. A triplet of high-definition TFT screens - cluster, central screen, and co-drivers display - gives the driver all the required infor- mation. The displays designed with tactile billet aluminium ro- tary controls and switches, including three with rotating con- trol, provide a resolutely analogue feel tailored to make use of cutting-edge digital technology. Every aspect of the car’s per- formance can be monitored by the driver thanks to real-time telemetry that can be downloaded to a laptop or smartphone for later review. On the Outside The C_Two is made from a pure carbon fibre monocoque with a bonded carbon roof which is relatively light and exception- ally strong. It is equipped with an integrated battery pack and a merged rear carbon subframe. The double-wishbone suspen- sion with electronically controlled dampers and active height adjustment provides a smooth and comfortable ride: the four electric motors power each wheel to give the four-wheel drive and unprecedented levels of dynamic control. For the wheels, a pair of independent single-speed gearboxes apply drive to the front, while a couple of independent two- speed gearboxes - one for each rear wheel - allow the C_Two to make use of its prodigious torque to produce both mind-blow- ing acceleration and true hypercar top speed. With a variety of features such as the flaps in the hood that alter the model’s aer- odynamic profile and a rear wing that adopts different positions according to dynamic loads, the C_Two sports a graceful, agile form. To make it aerodynamically efficient and stable at speed, the new model is designed with a flat floor and active rear venturi. The lightweight forged wheels also have an aerodynamic func- tion, ensuring the braking system is fed with cooling air while allowing smooth airflow down the flanks of the car at speed;
