bite glasses peared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar in Linda Farrow sunglasses for their June 2016 issue. As well as being renowned for its collaborations with many of the world’s most acclaimed designers, Linda Farrow has established itself as one of the most exciting brands in fashion with over 30 standalone stores and con- cessions and 500 global wholesalers. Frequent sightings of celebrities wearing their sunglasses have included Gigi and Bella Hadid, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner, and Lady Gaga to name a few, while a list of new and exciting collaborations are being revealed in the future. For Spring/Summer 2020, Linda Farrow is not only cel- ebrating its 50th anniversary which pays homage to the fashion designer radically transforming eyewear from every day to extraordinary but they have created a sen- sational collection. This season, the brand draws inspi- ration from their rich heritage and celebrates the 1970s style icons with a modern twist. The design focus is on oversized frames created with meticulously handcrafted acetates such as Japanese titanium and precious gold. Hero styles in the collection include Amber, a larger ver- sion of the classic Linda Farrow square frame and Dun- away, an exaggerated cat-eye frame both of which have titanium rivets that have been monogrammed with ‘Linda Farrow London 1970’. There are also other key pieces such as Amelia, an oversized laser-cut stained-glass frame that resembles the snakeskin prints from the 1970s, and Joan- na, a fashion optical frame with a multi-rim side shield and Linda Farrow signature temples plated in 18-carat gold. The Olivia Round Sunglasses are delicately framed with 22-carat light or yellow gold plated titanium. Sweeping below the lens, the metal forms a half rim, exposing the upper edge of the 100% UV protected gradient and gradu- ated lenses. It is teamed with a sleek temple and adjustable nose pads for tailored fitting. This style is available in a choice of pink solid, brown, blue, orange, and pink lenses in a yellow gold frame; and also a rose gold precious lens in a rose gold frame. Crafted from rich tortoiseshell acetate, the bold frame of the Morrison Rectangular Sunglasses is experimentation of facets. It has angular flat surface areas with soft sculpt- ed corners and 22-carat light gold plated titanium hinges that are paired with engineered screws to guarantee seam- less movement. Morrison is fitted with solid brown ZEISS sunglass lenses for optimum clarity. The style consists of a brown solid lens in tortoiseshell, brown gradient lens in khaki green and grey solid lens in black frames. Funky and chic, the modern brow aviators on the Huston Sunglasses reference the 1970s with graphic snakeskin detailing that is realised through the delicate 22-carat light gold plated titanium frame. The cream lacquer pat- tern is painstakingly hand applied in a ‘stained glass’ fin- ish. Teamed with solid green ZEISS lenses, the frame is finished with a sleek tapered temple and adjustable nose pads. Choose from the green solid or brown gradient in a yellow gold frame, or platinum precious lens in a white gold frame. Channelling the playful spirit of the 1970s, Carrie Cat Eye Sunglasses is crafted from a matte finish in 22-carat light gold plated titanium, intricately folded to accentuate the cat-eye silhouette. This style is teamed with mocha gradu- ated sunglass lenses that harness ZEISS technology for op- timum clarity and finished with adjustable titanium nose pads for superior comfort. Carrie is available in brown gradient, pink solid, and grey solid lenses in a yellow gold frame. With its chunky form in a choice of black Italian or rich tortoiseshell acetate, the exaggerated brown cat-eye sun- glasses on the Keaton Oversized Optical Frame is a bold decision. The high shine acetate frame is complemented with 22-carat yellow gold plated titanium hinges with sub- tle monogram detailing. The sculpted nose pads and tem- ple tips provide comfort to the wearer. Make a statement with the Keaton glasses that will get you noticed wherever you go. In addition to the SS20 eyewear collection, Linda Farrow has created a set of limited-edition 50th Anniversary Ital- ian silk printed scarves featuring 1970s psychedelic prints, colours, and graphic shapes that can be worn tied through the frame of the hero styles or worn individually. There are acetate chains in black, cream, and tortoiseshell shades and a 50th Anniversary bear dressed up in the silk scarves in a colourful palette of shimmering shapes and prints are available in stores to purchase as a gift. To help support the amazing work the NHS has been do- ing in treating affected patients and trying to save lives during the coronavirus crisis in the UK, Linda Farrow do- nated 10% from the sale of Olivia Round, Morrison Rec- tangular, Fawcet Hexagon, Jimi Oval, Amber D-Frame, and Dunaway Oversized sunglasses to the organisation in March and April 2020. https://uk.lindafarrow.com
