Later on, after resisting Olivia’s advances many times, An- tonio mistakes Viola for her brother when he is arrested for some violation and requires his help; Sebastian gets wooed by Olivia who thinks he’s Cesario and they get married af- ter he is found at a club called Elephant and mistaken for Viola who is accused of attacking Toby and Andrew with a fencer’s sword. The audience gets treated to a performance by a glamorous drag queen in elaborate attire. Eventually, the twins find each other at Countess Olivia’s house and Viola’s true gender is revealed. Orsino is relieved to find out she is female as he had fallen for her, having kissed her at his 40th birthday party earlier and Olivia is dismayed that she was fooled. It is at this point, after being locked up and written off as being mad, Malvolia finds out she was tricked into thinking Olivia loved her. In ending, Orsino and Viola get married, Sebastian and Olivia are happy together and Malvolia is left distraught on the steps. Out of the four productions that ran one per week, One Man, Two Guvnors and Twelfth Night were my favourites and incidentally, Oliver Chris and Daniel Rigby appeared in both. www.nationaltheatre.org.uk
