and Pan Roast Cod with baby potatoes, spinach, samphire and sorrel jus to be served. These dishes are paired with a bottle of Battle of Bosworth Pinot Noir from New Zealand but again we had refills of the dessert wine and prosecco. The Free Range Chicken Ballotine was absolutely delicious and cooked thor- oughly, with the combination of vegetables complimenting this dish perfectly. With the Beetroot Gnocchi, I had expected a sweeter taste but instead, it was quite unusual and not a particular favourite of mine but I liked the way the summer veg- etables were presented in the light citrus broth. The Pan Roast Cod had a lovely flavour, with delicious roast potatoes and samphire making it distinctive. We were in for a wonderful treat with the dessert selection of Bateaux Mess with strawberry, basil, and elderflower infused white chocolate and meringue; Pineapple Carpaccio with coconut sorbet, lemongrass syrup, and caramelised almonds; and Dark Chocolate Fondant with raspberry sorbet. All of the des- serts were amazingly delicious, especially the Bateaux Mess which is a take on the famous Eton mess and the Dark Choco- late Fondant which had the right amount of sweetness. Throughout the ride up and down the River Thames, diners have the oppor- tunity to go out onto the balconies on either side to take in the views of London, smoke, take pictures or simply for fresh air.The floating restaurant glided on the river so smoothly that you some- times forgot you were on the boat as you listened to jazz music and admired the sights while enjoying delicious British cuisine. Miguel, our server, attended to our every need and made sure we were happy with everything. He was truly amazing. For the perfect way to see the sights of London while travelling on the River Thames and enjoying amazing cuisine accompanied by music, try Glass Room or even its sister boat River Room for parties and events. While Willow Room, their counterpart inWindsor, will provide you with serene surroundings of the southeastern England town where you can enjoy delicious food and drink with family and friends as you set sail down that part of the River Thames.
