The Bite Magazine - Autumn/Winter 2019 - Issue 26

bite catwalk mens ICEBERG I t was streetwear meets ski gear for ICEBERG in this sea- son’s collection. Keeping it classic with a primary colour palette, the Italian brand took its classic sleek silhou- ettes and fitted them out for a fashionable trip to the Alps. Sporty details were combined with smart jacquards and abstract ‘patchwork print’ jumpers. Youthful graphic prints popped on the runway, while colour-blocked jump- ers inspired by ski flags were the staple of the collection, adaptable to every season. Mickey Mouse logos were a kitschy addition to jumpers. An exploration of the current logo trend saw a wide range of outfits featuring the brand’s name on prints. ICEBERG was explored in ‘90s style graffiti graphics on jumpers and t-shirts as well as a more refined type on accessories, in particular on bag straps. Sticking to the ski theme, mod- els had knitted sweatbands on their heads fitted with the ICEBERG logo in matching colours to the jumpers. A vast number of colour combinations were explored as well, including primary colours that were intercepted with the occasional neon green or yellow. Taking fashion to the slopes, sophisticated woven fabrics and leather pieces formed practical clothing that would also fit into streetwear. Bandana print patchwork shirts offered a relaxed ready-to-wear finish. Styling included a multitude of very wearable and trendy accessories. Hats, gloves, and headbands added to the sporty and winter aesthetic. Bags were also featured in the collection, from handheld, structured rucksacks, to trendy crossbody bags. A small introduction of shimmery fabrics was remi- niscent of freshly fallen snow on a mountain caught in the sun’s reflection. Oversized jackets were also a key feature and tailored ski track pants stood out in a sporty yet so- phisticated style. https://www.iceberg.com/en/
