bite red carpet to master the part of Greg in Family Matters. Having done a lot of role-playing work with Kings College, it helped him to under- stand what drug addicts go through when using and attending rehab. Whilst he did a lot of research for the role, he explained that John Travolta had once experimented with drinking a lot of tequila and bathing in a hot bath which is said to be the closest you can get to a heroin hit. When asked how she found her role, Debra Tennant who played Angela, revealed that it was about putting herself in the position of the character. Being a mother herself, she tried to picture the emotions she would feel with the drug dealers knocking down her door, her partner ruining their lives, and her daughter hiding upstairs - a mixture of helplessness, protection, fear, and devasta- tion. The actress admitted the role was emotionally draining and challenging at times but she certainly played the part well. While watching the film, you are left hoping Angela will come to her senses and lock her partner out of their lives for the sake of their daughter. When you’re with someone who negatively harms you through their actions and they are adamant they will change but do not, it is certainly unhealthy. As painful as it is, sometimes you just have to let them go. Thankfully, the story had a happy ending but there are circumstances in which there are not and people can lose their lives.
