The Bite Magazine - Summer 2019 - Issue 25

bite swimwear Images courtesy of Van de Velde classic shape, with all the pieces sold separately. There is also a very light short dress that can be worn after swimming or as everyday wear that matches the colour scheme of this fantastic swimwear line. Taking inspiration from the Wakaya Island of Fiji, this col- lection of the same name combines three separate fabrics: a plain microfibre, striped, and polka dots printed on plain fabric which gives it a very attractive appearance. Wakaya is different because the back of the swimwear is striped with a contrasting edging that finishes it off. In two styles of swimwear - one padded and the other unpadded - as well as all of the bikini styles and a versatile maxi dress, the colour schemes are cream, red, navy and stone with navy. Taking its name from the idyllic island off the coast of New York, Shelter is a collection in two colours with the same print in a high-quality microfibre. In an original Andrés Sardá floral print, it has a watercolour effect shade on a white background and also on a black background with flowers in blush colours. The swimsuits in this style have V-shaped and straight necklines while the bikinis are designed in bandeau, underwired, padded and triangular, along with a mini and tanga brief. Belle is the high-quality, smooth, two-tone microfibre collection in khaki and black, vanilla pink and black, and Mediterranean blue and stone. In this style, you will find a tankini, a classic swimsuit, and a V-necked piece with the inner cup helping to make the neckline. There are several styles in this collection: push up, padded balcony, under- wired and unwired. With a very high percentage of Lycra, Belle is very flexible and improves the hold. An ankle-length strappy dress is available in three colours. Azura is the name of a luxury paradise resort in Mozam- bique and the chosen name of this Andrés Sardá collection with a vertical stripe that comes in red-stone and classic navy blue and white. This lovely classic design is finished with a charming bow on all of the styles including the swim- suit which has an interior cup and a deep V-shaped back. The bikinis are designed in a choice of bandeau, strapless, padded, and triangular while the briefs come as a high ‘pin- up’ and the usual styles. The beautiful and paradise Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands lends its name to the last collection made in printed piquet and crochet lace in the swimsuit version which is decorated in ceramic beads in black and white. In- teresting prints of Chinese porcelain in white and navy blue and animal print in green shades make this eye-catching collection unique. Necker has both traditional and classic swimsuits including the spectacular trikini and other usual styles of bikini tops and bottoms of different heights. One of the more special collections, Wilson comes in a plain fabric with some elaborate braiding that the brand says makes this particular line one of the most majestic of this season. Whilst the styles are basic swimwear, with a very low-cut hip cleavage and classic in the usual styles, the colour schemes are extraordinary: strawberry and chocolate brown. Accompanying this collection is string bikini briefs and classic styles, along with one that has a very sexy criss- cross side detail. The last series in this Summer 2019 swimwear collection is Musha which has a very different artisan feel compared to the other styles. It is made from a top-quality Jacquard, an outer fabric that has become a swimwear fabric, along with a zigzag pattern in very elegant shades. Both the dress and bikinis include braiding around the cup and on the sides at strap height. The collection also includes a trikini with a spectacular V-neck as well as all of the usual bikini styles. Andrés Sardá lingerie and swimwear are available at Rigby & Peller in the UK and countries around the world. www.andresarda.com
