With visual artists handpicked by special art curator Vanja Žanko, each of them offers their own interpretation of the hotel’s historical layers, whilst bringing the hotel’s interior into the 21st century. “Guests will discov- er works of art with each step they make; they will stand closer to those works of art that intrigue and attract them, study some in detail and glance over others, or simply enjoy the ambiance as a whole.” Some of these works of art feature different as- pects of light, which is, as the art curator says, an important artistic matter in the hotel. “The light is key to forming black hallways, which turn into light corridors with the help of the works of art.” Whilst the exterior keeps its early 20th century feel, you will find that the visually rich interior is contemporary, classic and elegant with a myriad of textures, tones and colours. There are a number of guest rooms within the hotel that will have you enchanted by its charm and sophisticated decor. The Atelier suite is inspired by a workshop pro- ducing masterpiece that offers a view of the old town centre and its colourful roofs. It has a sur- face area of 23-25m2 with an option of a king-size bed or two separate beds. The Piazzo suite with a view of the picturesque main square of Rovinj is breathtaking and you can also see the idyllic is- land of St. Katarina in the background. This suite has a surface area of 31-39m2 with a large dou- ble bed or two twin beds. There are also two TV sets and a luxurious sofa which you can lounge on while admiring the masterpieces by world-re- nowned artists on the walls. A modern and spacious loft with a black and white colour theme, the Gallery is named after the typical venue for the enjoyment of art. Located at the very top of the hotel, it has a surface area of 36 or 44m2 with an optional king-size bed, the usual works of art, a TV set, or you can opt for looking at the starry sky in the quiet hours of the night. It also has a spacious walk-in shower in the bath- room, furnished with handmade mosaic. This luxurious modern room will simply take your breath away and snuggle you in the comfort of its remarkable decor. The most exclusive room is the Grand Piazzo Suite with a surface area of 47m2 and a unique view of both the main square and bustling promenade. It has a king size bed, a comfortable, luxurious sofa, two TV sets, an elegant fireplace, a walk-in show- er, and unique contemporary works of art. Lastly, the Adriatic suite extends to 58m2 with two bal- conies located on two different hotel wings, pro- viding a beautiful view of the Rovinj main square, the livery waterfront and the main promenade. This suite has a walk-in shower, a king-size bed, a bath tub, three-seater sofa, two TV sets and an elegant fireplace.
