At 2.30amwe kicked back with a hot chocolate, and in no time we had Lionel Richie and Elvis Presley re- cords playing with this teal retro-styled turntable. It's the little details that made our night not only relaxing but fun! What a better way to start your day than with a little sea breeze to take in over a delectable breakfast on the terrace. Served from 8am onwards, we popped downstairs for a buffet feast filled with the massive choice of continental and hearty Full English just before closing (late-night dancing to a few tunes!). The cold buffet was an array of cereals, yo- ghurts, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, cold meats and cheeses. A selection of fresh bread and sweet options were enough to gorge on for hours. Blueberry muffins, pancake and waffles with syrup, while Nutella and honey completed the scene. A brisk walk was called for to help with the digestion. When we strolled along the beach shortly after breakfast, the loudest sounds were the splash- ing waves. We found that a fabulous seaside activity at low tide is to go out looking for seaweed. The tide goes out a long way in the late afternoon, leaving exposed rocks on the shore with green algae, which are perfect for a foot soak. Why not benefit from a bonus spa treat- ment? Exploring tidal pools, getting our feet coated in sea lettuce leaves packed with beneficial vitamins and minerals, pummelled by jets of seawater, was a picturesque ending to our weekend.
