Both starters were absolutely delicious, just what we needed before we indulged further in the art of relaxation. Our gorgeously themed weekend of rest and restoration kicked off with a well- ness experience at the Roslin Retreat. From regenerative facials, massages, body wraps, pamper packages, to hands and feet, and OPI nail care, there's plen- ty to try for a spot of signature rejuve- nation. Alongside a selection of luxuri- ous Elemis treatments, there are facials, body wraps and scrubs to enjoy. For the ultimate girly weekend, we were lucky enough to be treated to Elemis facials in the double room, which made it feel more special. Arriving at the hotel and having my fa- cial done straight after allowed me to completely banish life's worries and leave any mundane concerns behind. My main concern recently has been the under-eye area, where fine lines have begun to form due to the dryness. In need of a hydra- tion overhaul, I went the Biotec route with advance technologies and picked the 50-minute Radiance Renew session recommended by my therapist Zoe. After prerequisite cleansing with a su- perfood facial wash and toning, she be- gan the treatment using Ultrasonic Peel, which employs vibrations to deeply exfo- liate and remove debris in clogged pores. The metal spatula was making squeaky noises, but the process itself was pain- less. This was then followed by a jelly Amino Acid Peel Off Mask. It was a bit slimy in texture, but there is no denying its glowing benefits. With soothing eye patches, I was lulled to sleep with neck and shoulder massag- es. Sheer bliss. The facial was then taken to the next level with galvanic rollers, which delivered gentle currents to ex- pedite the absorption of nutrition mol- ecules further into the skin. The results were significant immediately after. My skin was decongested and visibly bright- er than it did before - no more tired com- plexion! Under my eyes, the amino acid peel helped to diminish the fine lines, now technically gone. According to my friend, the 25-minute Elemis Anti-Blemish Mattify and Calm Booster Facial by Hannah were super re- laxing. It was her first professional facial, and it changed her life apparently. Loads of different techniques and a mini head massage put her in a relaxed mode. Be- ing able to chill out with the warm towel over her eyes once her treatment ended earlier was a pleasant touch. The days following our spa sessions, our skins continued to improve, and since the ultrasonic treatment brought out the impurities, I have not experienced any vast flare-ups despite Zoe's warn- ings. Compliments were flowing in from work colleagues for my companion who thought she had bought a new founda- tion because her skin had cleared up in- stantly and became less oily! Following a swift check-in, we whisked away our cases to the bedroom. The hotel boasts 62 bespoke bedrooms with mod- ern luxuries. We were staying in the light
