The Bite Magazine - Summer 2019 - Issue 25
bite catwalk W ith a catwalk decorated like a romantic garden, accompanied by a harp player and pianist, models elegantly walked the runway in chic jackets, lightweight leather coats and silk dresses. Colour-blocking was ex- plored through styling pieces, cardigans wrapped over tops, creating geometric shapes, dresses in two halves and two tones tied together at the waist brought together this contrast. Silk skirts in yellow contrasted with grey sequins while lime green played a key part throughout the collection featuring on a pair of high waisted leather trousers, lightweight satin skirts and the statement chok- ers worn by all of the models. There was a key trend in ruching throughout this col- lection with garments pulled in and adding flattering gathering of the fabric. It also had an organic feel with bright yellows and soft blues enhanced with dramatic bold pinks and bright greens; the colours of a garden in bloom. Floral prints and beaded embroidery matched the romantic garden set. There was a real beauty in the composition of the collection that unveiled more hidden details as you observed. ISABEL NUÑEZ
