bite drinks Gin Rosa uses the peel of Sicilian pink grapefruits, Italian juniper berries, rhubarb and five other botanicals to give it that amazing pink colour and delicious taste. The sun-ripened pink grapefruits are grown in citrus groves on the Mediterranean coast where the mountains greet the sea. The taste of this gin consists of juicy fresh grapefruits with a rich long juniper finish. You can enjoy this colourful burst of Italian sunshine on the rocks, with tonic or in your favourite cocktail. Con Arancia is distilled using the peels of Sicilian blood orange, Ital- ian juniper and six other botanicals. Blood oranges are a prized variety in Sicily which is harvested in November and their rich, red colour is developed from the cool Mediterranean nights. The blood orange peels are steeped in alcohol and pressed in a basket press. The infusion is then blended with juniper and other botanicals before being dis- tilled in a stainless steel vacuum still maintained by Master Distillers Beppe Ronco and Denis Muni. For gin lovers, Malfy Gin is the perfect spirit to pair with your favour- ite tonic water but for cocktail lovers, there is a world of mixology that will blow your mind. For the original gin and tonic, mix a large measure of Malfy Originale with premium tonic water in an ice-filled tumbler and garnish with a fresh wedge of lime. The other flavours can also be used in the gin and tonic. How about an Italian Martini? Shake Malfy Originale over ice and add a splash (or more, if you like) of Italian Vermouth. Serve in a Martini glass with a lemon strip. Italian 75 cocktail can be created by mixing one part of Malfy Con Limone with two parts of prosecco. Add a splash of Sorrento Limon- cello and then serve in a prosecco flute, adding a garnish of a lemon twist. Another cocktail made with Malfy Con Limone is White Ne- groni, with two parts of the gin infused with one part of Dolin Bianco Vermouth and one part of Suze Herbal Liqueur. Serve the cocktail in a tumbler full of ice and garnish with a lemon strip. To make the colourful Riviera Fizz, shake two parts of Malfy Con Arancia with one part Peach Liqueur over ice. Strain into a Martini glass, add a splash of soda and garnish with an orange twist. Using Sicilian oranges presents the opportunity to create a Sicilian Sour cocktail with four parts of Malfy Con Arancia and one part of fresh lime juice. Add one dash of simple syrup, one dash of angostura bitters and two dashes of orange bitters. Serve over ice in a tumbler and gar- nish with a strip of orange. Cocktails such as Pink Lemonade can be created by mixing two parts of Malfy Gin Rosa with one part of Sorrento Limoncello in an ice- filled Highball glass. To complete this drink, top up with three parts of soda water and then garnish with a wedge of lime and a raspberry. Another amazing cocktail is Pink Gin Fizz which consists of one part of Malfy Gin Rosa and two parts of prosecco served in a flute and gar- nished with a grapefruit twist; the perfect alternative drink to a glass of bellini or mimosa. Malfy Gin can be found in the UK and around the world in countries such as Brazil, China, Italy, Jamaica, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia and Taiwan. www.malfygin.com Enjoy the View
