Consisting of the simplest home idea to the most fascinating concept you could find, industrial designer Tom Dixon has virtually covered all grounds. Not only does he use sustainable supplies but also materials that you never think would work at all such as super-size rubber bands around an industrial bench and underwater production plants to grow chairs and tables. From the Carved collection, you will find bowls and vases made from mouth-blown, double layered black and white glass; a range of candles, diffusers, liquid soaps, lotions, candle and tea light holders; a series of distorted spherical pendants, half-metalised lights from the Melt collection which creates an extraor- dinary optic effect and casts an ethereal luminosity on their surroundings; and a new upholstery range of dining chair, bar stool and lounge chair called Fat, designed to hug the body and allow for multiple sitting positions.
