The Bite Magazine Issue 17

L ondon Edge’s motto ‘never boring’ certainly rang true at their recent exhibition held at the Business Design Centre in Angel Islington, north London from 4 th to 6 th September. As with every year there is an array of exhibitors with diverse styles of merchandise ranging from punk, gothic and vintage clothing, shoes, bags, neon-coloured hair dyes, badges, ornaments to virtually every- thing else you could possibly think of. The exhibition doesn’t really have a set genre of style over the three-lev- elled floor space, meaning you could enter one section of gothic and punk merchandise, then vintage clothing and bags, to find yourself in another section of gothic and punk goods. It was quite interesting to see the diverse represen- tation and you kind of wonder where these people have been hiding. In case you’re new to this and therefore not in the know, there are several sub- cultures that London Edge caters for. This is probably best explained as, “Our counter culture roots runs through everything we do; you can see them in the diversity of the brands we represent and in the press, retailers, wholesalers and media who visit our shows.” So for the London Edge class of 2016, we have Greaser Guy, with a super slick style of leather jacket and plain logo t-shirt, greaser creeper shoes and chunky bite exhibition Definitely Never Boring
