bite poem Men play fearless and bold Women become both father and mother Man become the lover and brother Man is the earner and woman is the learner Doing all she can for the fold Not wanting to be told She’s a multi-tasker; that’s all he ask of her Men’s night; women’s rights Nothing is done in pairs Everyone is running scared Of committing to marriage No one wants the whole package Not going according to plan Playing mind games, taking a stand Gay rights, mixed relations The all exciting new sensation He strides in front; she walks behind Is this not a plain enough sign? That all things have changed The tables have turned The roles have altered Acceptance in choices has not been faulted Nothing ever stays the same It’s all part of the cycle of life’s game Is the battle of the sexes a self-destruct? Or do we continue or just hush up?
