clearly and there is definitely consist- ency within the collection, her desire to defy the stereotypes of her signature material fosters a very explorative atti- tude.The self-imposed leather limitation which at first seems so restrictive (and in some ways it is) actually provides a plat- form to push the boundaries of design, because unless pure minimalism is what you’re going for, having less to work with is going to force you to be pretty experimental! Ferrero and Marianna have incredible knowledge and experience working with leather and treat their material of choice with the upmost respect, which means throughout their respective journeys, they have discovered many revolution- ary treatments and techniques. I think the end result is beautiful and fascinat- ing, I hope other designers will look at this intriguing brand concept as inspiring, whether or not they work with leather themselves and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for DROMe. www.drome.it bite fashion
