B ased on the classic novel by Rudyard Kipling, this new version of The Jungle Book combines CGI effects and live-action to bring the story to life. Newcomer Neel Sethi plays Mowgli, the boy who is raised by wolves in the jungle. However his peaceful life is interrupted by the arrival of Bengal tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba) whose threats to Mowgli see the young man having to leave his home and his life with wolves Raksha (Lupita Nyong'o) and Akela (Giancarlo Esposito). Scarlett Johansson voices Kaa the python, together with Bill Murray as Baloo the bear and Ben Kingsley as Bagheera the Black Panther. Sleepy Hollow actor Christopher Walken is the voice of the iconic King Louis.  With special effects including motion capture and computer animation used in conjunction with live-ac- tion, the result is a captivating visual blend that will be appreciated by new fans and those who grew up with the story.What's more, Murray and Johansson both show off their vocal talents in the film with Murray singing the classic and catchy ‘The Bare Necessities’ and Johansson performing Kaa's song ‘Trust in Me’.  Trust me you'll love this modern version of a classic story.
