This signature dark, rich and velvety Fairtrade chocolate has been revamped with the addition of juicy sun-ripened raisins and crunchy chopped almonds, ‘fruit and nut’s sophisticated older sibling’ according to the brand. The Fairtrade almonds are grown by Pakistani farmers whose nut trees are irrigated by glacial meltwater from the Himala- yan Mountains which adds a distinctive nutty crunch.Whilst all Divine chocolate are sweetened with sugar from Kasin- thula, a Malawian Fairtrade co-operative, the chocolate is further flavoured with creamy vanilla from Fairtrade farmers in Madagascar. This Easter, Divine Chocolate created a delectable range of Easter Eggs. With new flavours and old favourites to tickle the taste-buds, the Fairtrade choco- late company made sure that there was enough choice for everyone. The brand new flavours for 2016 included Raspberry Dark Chocolate Egg, a thick, intensely rich chocolate shell made with velvety dark chocolate, and studded with tangy raspberries and Toffee & Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Egg, a smooth milk chocolate shell scattered with the sweet crunch of toffee pieces and the contrasting tang of sea salt flakes. Other flavours included the Luxury Milk Choc- olate Egg with Milk Praline Eggs, made from smooth and creamy milk choco- late with a clutch of praline mini eggs for extra indulgence; Luxury 70% Dark Chocolate Egg with Dark Chocolate Mini Eggs, velvety rich dark chocolate accom- panied by silky smooth mini chocolate eggs. For the perfect gift idea, the smaller hollow eggs came in rich dark, smooth milk and creamy white chocolate vari- eties. If you had planned an Easter egg hunt, the popular bags of miniature eggs with solid 70% Dark and Milk Chocolate, Milk Chocolate Praline Eggs and colour- ful Speckled Eggs all would have been perfect but there is always next year. You can also use these varieties as topping on a homemade Easter cake or chocolate nests, or even share with friends or as a treat for one. As well as the UK and USA, Divine Chocolate can be found in Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia. And as the brand says, “the World of Divine is growing.” www.divinechocolate.com bitechocolate
