Interior You may notice that the Lamborghini’s innovative cockpit dominates the interior. The 12.3-inch TFT display which forms part of the new standard-fit Lamborghini Infotainment System II can be configured in several modes. It also offers the driver all the key information he or she needs in a virtual representation, including the optional navigation map. Drivers will be impressed with the displays which feature razor-sharp and incredibly bril- liant details; for example, the virtual rev counter needle is recalculated 60 times a second, ensuring it flows smoothly even when full acceleration is applied. The display functions can be controlled by the driver through the buttons on the steering wheel. The buttons for the soft top (available in black, brown and red), rear windshield and start button for the V10 engine are located on the cen- tre-tunnel console found beneath a red cover like you would find in a military jet. Its slender dashboard and centre console contribute to the elegance of the interior design. This beautifully crafted interior, which can be extensively individualised, conveys refined quality with Alcantara and fine nappa leather in a choice of Standard, Elegant, Sport with Alcantara, Sport bicolour with Alcantara, and Sport bicolour with soft leather, as well as 17 interior colours. Designed to underscore Ferrari’s Formula 1-inspired philosophy of creating a seamless relationship between driver and car, you’ll be pleased to find that the commands are no longer clustered on the steering wheel but rather on wrap- around satellite pods angled toward the driver.This provides a lighter, sleeker and horizontally more compact dashboard that curves around the cockpit for a thrilling driving experience and features ultra-sporty air vents.The Italian marque continues its typical trait of marrying innovation and tradition by separating the dashboard and tunnel, providing a multifunctional steering wheel and the control bridge on the tunnel. The new door panels ooze quality and attention to detail and are a lot more comfortable to the touch while the armrest is more ergonomic. Along with an integrated Apple CarPlay, the 488 Spider also has a new Sport infotainment system with the display still in the driver’s line of sight. Drivers can also take advantage of the keyless start facility which enables the car to be started or turned off by simply pressing the ‘Start/Stop Engine’ button on the steering wheel. Exterior There is no doubt that the Huracán Spyder demonstrates Lamborghini’s latest evolution of characteristic design lan- guage while providing outstanding visual impact which adhere to the marque’s principle of ‘form follows function’. One of its most distinctive features is the new lightweight soft roof top which when it’s down is hidden away into the most efficient space possible. With a meas- urement of 4.46 metres long and 1.92 metres wide, the Huracán Spyder stands at just 1.18 metres high and highlights the athletic and powerful lines of the car. The difference with this model compared to the 488 Spider is that the soft top can be opened via a button positioned on the central tunnel in 17 seconds while the vehicle is still moving within driving speeds of up to 31 mph.
