Taylor, front man of the band Vintage
Trouble is surfing the crowds of London,
rocking the fringes of souled out blues
grooves, fully stacked and unadulterated.
I met up with Ty Taylor and Vintage
Trouble band members, Nalle Colt, Rick
Barrio Dill and Richard Danielson at the
Barfly in London’s Camden Town, where
the British crowd seems to have warmed
to the Los Angeles band like sour limes
after a shot of tequila. In front of me are
four individually styled characters; a smiling
drummer with a ponytail, a 6’4 tall bass
player in a black tyrolienne press suit and a
guitarist looking like an extra out of
Tarantino’s ‘Pulp Fiction’. I spoke toTy Taylor
who seemed to blend quite nicely into the
Camden scene with his cozy afro and acute
side burns.
Ty, its great meeting you all and
having you guys visit us in the
UK; and thank you very much for
taking time out to speak to the
Bite Magazine. What is your
background as a performer?
It’s predominately music. I did theatre in
between but my performance isn’t anything
to do with any of that. It’s about getting to
a place where you don’t really count on
your history. You kind of use it as bedding,
