Last night, (May 12th 2013) at the Royal Festival Hall M.A.C were delighted to be the official make-up partners to the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards!
A host of stars from the world of television were in town for this prestigious awards ceremony and M∙A∙C ensured that guests arrived looking sensational for this year’s red carpet.
M∙A∙C Beauty Suite at The Corinthia Hotel was the place to be if you wished to be made up by one of the fabulous members of the M.A.C pro team. VIP’s could also be made up via at home on-to-one appointments
M∙A∙C Senior Artist, Rebecca Butterworth comments on last night’s makeup trends on the red carpet: ‘Early 20th century glamour inspired last night’s beauty, with many looks referencing the vintage feel of Parades End and The Great Gatsby. Eyes were darkened with veils of black liner while lips took inspiration from Silent Hollywood starlets, all offset against a canvas of velvet textured skin. Bright reds were also hugely popular, and brought a spring/summer feel to the night’
For many years M.A.C has been employed for a variety of important awards programs, movies, television shows, music tours and theatre productions and working with the BAFTA’s reinforces M∙A∙C’s reputation for supporting the behind-the-scenes needs of the professional community.
So far in 2013 M∙A∙C supported artists such as Pamela Smyth (Game of Thrones) and Lou Page (Girls) as well as Sharon Doyle & Chloe Bourke (Ripper Street) and Erika Okvist (Parade’s End) all of which are nominated productions this year. Winners on the night included Game of Thrones, Girls and acclaimed actress Olivia Colman who won two awards during the evening.
