Nicolas Ghesquière Exits Balenciaga

After fifteen years of service, Nicolas Ghesquière  is set to leave French design house Balenciaga.

Ghesquière has been at the helm of Balenciaga since 1997 and is responsible for perfume creations such as Florabotanica, Balenciaga Paris and L’essence as well as dressing some of the worlds most beautiful women (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and organising that very much anticipated interview with none other than Kristen Stewart.

A public statement was released today which noted that ‘The Balenciaga fashion house and Nicolas Ghesquière have announced their joint decision to end their working relationship as of 30 November 2012.’

Ghesquière  has been worldly noted for bringing a wider audience to the Balenciaga brand as well as creating some eclectic and thought provoking collections.

Who will replace Ghesquière? And where will he go next? These questions are still unknown, but in the mean while why not seen Ghesquière’s last collection for Balenciaga below.
