Raf Simons For Christian Dior

For a year now Dior has been without a firm hand behind its helm. Yes Bill Gaytten has done an impeccable job for a technician, but he was no Galliano.

Yesterday afternoon it was announced that Raf Simons (previously of Jil Sander) would become the new Artistic Director of Christian Dior. After an outstanding job at Sander, we were all very sad to see him leave, but Simons for Dior, well that is one thing many of us dream about, the clean cut hemlines, the sharp tailoring it’s a match made in heaven and a decision that the LVMH company should be thrilled about.

Below is the press release straight from Christian Dior announcing Simons as their new Artistic Director.
