Giorgio Armani Prive Couture Spring/Summer 2012

Tropical, murky and defiantly green, this sentence sums up yesterdays Giorgio Armani Prive Couture show to a tee. Various shades of green came pouring down the runway featuring these incredible reptilian patterns.

Armani digitally printed snake and crocodile skin on to his skirts and dresses to re-enforce this reptilian stance. The collection was glossy, gleaming and exceptionally well polished. I felt like I was sat in a reptile house and not watching an Armani show. The collection features mostly evening-wear but it does entertain some day-wear. Stunning knee length skirts with matching jackets in bright green-yellow shades brought a tropical element to the catwalk. These shades were then immediately contrasted with a murky dark green almost brown colour. It mixed acute elements of a dark and dingy swamp with a tropical paradise to bring you a collection that was completely haute.
