Maintaining healthy skin and hair regularly can sometimes be hard but in the long run it is beneficial. We look at two powerful women who persevered to find the perfect formula using natural and vegan-friendly ingredients to launch their businesses - Soloskin London and Hair Fuel. N atural and organic beauty brand Soloskin London was founded by Naz, who, after suffering from dry skin and sometimes ‘chicken skin’, decided to make homemade scrubs to help her overcome her temperamental skin condition. What is fascinating about this creative entre- preneur is that she has a full-time job, is married with two daughters, and still manages to run the brand in her spare time. After holding ‘pampering parties’ for her friends and fami- ly, Naz received positive feedback from her homemade face and body scrubs and felt this could be the start of something great. As her passion grew, she desired to help people look after their skin so she enrolled on a course and received a certificate in organic skincare formulation. It was after this, Soloskin London was born. Before launching her products, Naz spent several months ex- perimenting in her botanical kitchen to create a formula with natural ingredients that are beneficial to the skin. She wanted to help people understand that they need to look after their skin and maintain a self-care routine. “We promote people to be their true authentic selves; to be happy with or without make-up, lashes, or just be at peace and finally accepted for being yourself in your own skin.” The products are made in small batches by hand to ensure quality and consistency is kept throughout the whole production. The formula used is inno- vative and contains high-performance ingredients that promote beautiful looking skin. Each product goes through meticulous testing to ensure the high- est standards are achieved.
