The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2020 - Issue 27

bite beauty Beauty Editor Giovanna Zac reveals how to revive your beauty products and keep up your beauty regime whether you’re in lockdown or going out is limited. MIX & MATCH T he spring and summer seasons are usually the times when people start thinking, preparing, and even travelling to beautiful locations around the world. It is also a time to enjoy warmer days out, sport new clothing, hairstyles, and even new make-up colours. We are instead facing (at the time of writing) a very different scenario, where, on the contrary, most of us, have become full time ‘working or doing everything from home’. As a make-up artist, one of the challenges I have found, is finding shops availa- ble to buy make-up from, because I was told, it is not essential; but is it really so? Personally, I find that keeping your good looks and hair going helps you to feel better, to feel healthy, and to stay positive in front of adversity. It helps creativity because we start utilising what we have at home, from all those products that have hardly been used, and forgotten in the drawers. With this in mind, here is a mix and match of new and not so new beauty prod- ucts to help you look healthy and natural with simple and effective touching up, without looking over the top, for a time where looking healthy, and keeping healthy, is really important. NATURAL EYES WITH DEFINITION Eyes can be kept to a minimum with just a bit of bronzer on the mobile lid, while mascara and eyebrows are the ones doing all the work for definition and the final effect. For the best results, try the following products. LASH EXTREME BLACK by MAC One of my favourite mascaras needs no introduction. Its ultra-thick formula, a super black jet pigment, and its unique double-lash effect brush make it one of the best to create an effect of double lashes that look long, curly and full. It is a must-have to replace false lashes with, or even permanent ones that have fallen off and temporarily cannot be replaced. With such a beautiful definition, the use of gel liner is pretty personal. Luckily, I had bought the travel size, to take with me on Easter holidays, which turned out to be really handy during this lockdown at home. www.maccosmetics.co.uk EYEBROWMARKER by KIKO This eyebrow marker by Kiko is one of my favourite tools for defining eyebrows to keep a natural look. The special tool that looks like a felt-pen allows a quick, precision application, without smudges. The non-transferable formula is en- riched with Ginseng Extract and Vitamin B5, essential to slow down the ageing process of the skin and the hair bulb. Available in four shades, it now has a waterproof version. www.kikocosmetics.com BEA SURV G
