Hadid I n the 2018 film I Feel Pretty Amy Schumer’s character Renee Barrett said, “I’ve always wondered what it feels like to be just undeniably pret- ty.” It’s funny that a simple statement like this can have such a profound impact. Not necessarily because it’s groundbreaking, but because it puts into words what many of us think thousands of times a day when comparing ourselves to those who we think have been hit by that ever allusive pretty stick.
