The Bite Magazine - Summer 2019 - Issue 25

bite catwalk A ndrés Sardá presented a collection based on the line between good and evil, the female protagonist show- ing her personality through the garments she wore. The story unfolded through various influences, the se- cret agent, an evil counterpart, a jewellery heist in New York, and a chase in the streets of Paris before the story reached its end in Tokyo. Military influences presented themselves through tailored jackets in greys, maroons and khakis with gold buckles and fasten- ings contrasting with delicate laces and satins in cherry, toffee and midnight blue. Moody and sensual as it moved into sharp lines, it was dominated by black high-tech fabrics that fitted like a second skin, and disco pants and bodies were complimented with knee-high boots. The brand is well known for its delicate lingerie that exudes sensuality and class. The Parisienne section of the collection was like a high- class lady, glamorous woollen jackets in burnt orange, aubergine and mustard with matching head scarfs and hats rounded off with vixen-like sunglasses. There was an art to the composition of the collection as the grand finale delved into sophisticated sequinned eveningwear, draped in ways to show off hints of lingerie inspired by a high-class party in Tokyo. The grand finale of the story showed a voluminous tulle gown cut away at the body fully showing the bejewelled lingerie followed by a humorous jail bird number in black and white stripes to close the dramatic story told by the collection. www.andressarda.com ANDRES SARDA
