The Bite Magazine - Summer 2019 - Issue 25

bite catwalk MIGUEL MARINERO I nspired by their recent travels to Africa, the team at Miguel Marinero presented a collection entitled ‘Sahel’. Introducing organic and technical fabrics into their traditional tailoring style, the collection showed a number of luxe looks. From fitted jackets to draped chiffon kaftans, soft coats were worn as dresses and sheer dresses had corded belts. Leather cropped jackets in deep reds added a sultry mood to the rich colour palette inspired by the colours of the desert and its surrounding nature. Beautiful golds and stunning turquoise were key standouts in the collection and lux- urious coats in blue fur added to the elegant style. Soft linens were complimented by light browns and ivory. Ombre chiffon made an impact in blue tones accompanied by metallic garments with delicate cut- out patterns in complimentary colours, enhanced with gold embroideries and accessories that gave a Sahara desert feel to the collection. Exploring the local area in- fluenced the relaxed silhouettes and vibrant prints. A choice of linen and cotton dresses with fine silks offered luxury wearable outfits suitable for the heat, all whilst maintaining the tailoring and detailed pattern cutting the brand has mastered throughout the years. www.miguelmarinero.com
