bite theatre J ust a short walk away from London’s famous Waterloo train station, The Old Vic, a 200 year old theatre played host to the latest offerings of an Arthur Miller play, this time The American Clock , based on The Great Depression which took hold of America for a solid decade (1929-39) and that sent Wall Street into chaos, bankrupting a great deal of wealthy investors and displacing thousands of Americans. It was considered the worst economic decline in Industrialised history. One could wonder how such a bleak period of history could be re-imagined for the stage.
