The new track produced and co-written with Miike Snow, and vocalist and award-winning Andrew Wyatt (who won the 2019 Oscar for Best Original Song with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s ‘Shallow’) sees the singer’s trade- mark husky harmonies adorn a truly irresistible bass groove. The video shows the singer stepping out of a 70s-style car in a long fur coat and shades like the sophisticated lady she is and walking down the street with a bodyguard. But this doesn’t stop her from hanging out with the guys outside while they play dominoes. In a split screen video that shows different shots of Amber dancing down the street, the bodyguard with his hat down smoking and close ups of the guys playing; the rhythm goes well with this smooth, gentle and enjoyable track. The singer has spent the year so far writing and recording at home in New York City, with ‘Mixer’ set to be the first in a string of sublime genre-bending releases from the multi-faceted artist. “After see- ing me perform at Soho House, Andrew Wyatt felt inspired to write me a track to dance to,” said Amber. “As soon as he sent it over, I couldn’t sit still. It was so inspiring to write with him.” After a whistle-stop visit to London in November 2018 playing two nights at the O2 Academy Brixton supporting Leon Bridges, Amber went on to perform at a stellar sold-out headline show at Oslo Hack- ney. She will also be appearing at Pitchfork Festival and The Gover- nors Ball Festival before heading to Europe for a string of headline dates and festivals in July, including her biggest London show to date at Scala in July 2019. www.ambermarkmusic.com
