Jada Brookes checks out some of the recent and soon-to-be released singles covering various genres of music. bite new music G iven the name of the track, you’d think that JPEGMAFIA was rapping about Puff Daddy as in P Diddy aka Sean Combs but no in this scenario, he’s actually talking about food. In the video, the rapper is sitting quietly at Diddy’s, waiting for his order and then boom... as soon as he tucks into the pancake with ‘Puff Daddy’ written on it, he suddenly gets all wavy and can’t see straight. What he doesn’t realise is he has just been given some LSD-infused pancakes made by chef Kenny Beats (otherwise known as DJ and music producer). This brings on chaos ensued with cameos from Open Mike Eagle, Ho99o,Tommy Genesis and Nathaniel from Injury Reserve. As we hear JPEGMAFIA’s voice overhead, we see him being held down by so called doctors, taken out of a van and then carried on a stretcher into a house where people from all walks of life are having a party. It’s not long before he’s on the mike rapping about big whips and big guns, having no cash or funds, and claiming he’s tactless and has cash in a mattress and so on. Talking about the track, video-driven website Noisey said,‘The beat is glitchy and hyperactive and every line is delivered like a war cry. ”With the video mirroring exactly that, it’s a fast-moving visual that goes from a seemingly innocent guy in a café to a kind of frenzy and live party.
