hat an exciting two days for racing! The annual
Bentley Drivers Club’s action-packed car racing
event, which has been running since 1949, had a
special treatment this year as it celebrated a very
significant age.This year is the 62
nd
consecutive annual meeting at
Silverstone, but the club has been running for 75 long glorious
years.
Star ted in 1936 by Kelston Pelmore, an enthusiast driver of
a Bentley who wanted to meet like-minded individuals, the
founder placed simple postcards on all the Bentleys in the
Brooklands car park that year inviting them to join the club. In
response to his adver t, he received 26 initial interests and from
there the club has increased greatly in
numbers year after year.
Since then, the club history has
been about driving the gorgeous
Bentley motorcars created
