After months of anticipation it seems that spring is finally, finally here, and if like me, you reach for your sunglasses at the first sign of sunshine (“to protect my eyes of course!”) then it’s high time to update your eyewear wardrobe. But whilst shopping for new sunglasses will almost definitely make you feel super glamorous, it can be tricky to find the perfect pairing to complement your face. Aviators are definitely your friends if you have a heart shaped face where as circular or cat eye frames balance out a slightly square face.

Reflective sunglasses were all the rage last summer and the trend seems to be holding strong. Whether you choose aviator style sunnies or go for space age goggles you’re assured to garner waves of attention. Team with neon accessories and messy hair to create an appearance of upscale festival chic. If you want to add a touch of eccentric cuteness to your look choose circular lenses in quirky frames to give you a touch of “fashionably offbeat”. Keep your make up fresh faced and dewy to let the sunglasses do all the talking.

However if you If you want to keep to traditional styles choose tortoise-shell frames as sported by Beyonce for casual chic or for all out glamour, channel Victoria Beckham in big black shades. Remember, trends may come and go but the perfect pair of sunglasses will last you way beyond the summer. Whether you’re hiding from the paparazzi or just hiding tell tale signs from the night before you’re guaranteed to ooze sophistication.
