On Tuesday October 8th, West London’s Brunswick Studios was host to the first preview of the new Karen K Boutique SS14 accessories collection. Guests were greeted with glasses of champagne and socialised on the venue’s rooftop terrace before being led to their seats for the eagerly anticipated catwalk show. As the background music dropped the room fell silent but the buzz of excitement could still be felt. The show did not disappoint.
Opening the catwalk was the Lebanese supermodel turned designer herself, Karen El-Khazen. Sporting a statement tribal-inspired headpiece teamed with a nude pair of spike-studded heels (the Lady Kimmie heels to be precise) and a simple white bodysuit, the outfit screamed with confidence. Models wore nothing but skin-tight bodies allowing the shoes and accessories to speak for themselves.
The main focus was on the designer’s sky-high heels; easily recognisable from the Swarovski crystal encased on the sole of each pair and the laser-enforced steel spine to provide guaranteed comfort. Each pair named appropriately, from Lady Skyla to Lady Lexy, the shoes high quality designs are sure to allure sophisticated females from across the globe.
Co-ordinating bags and headpieces in a range of colours were also worn, each with their own distinctive personality. The range uses an assortment of exotic fabrics and colours together in a way that will add desirability to any outfit. The entire show projected female empowerment whilst being effortlessly provocative.
The Karen K collection encapsulates the perfect combination of femininity and power. It is available to purchase online now at www.karenkboutique.com.
